Brewer Features
Make a Favorite: You can add favorites while creating your brew by pressing and holding the heart button above the temperature and strength parameters. Up to 10 favorites can be saved. By pressing settings and then choosing a favorite to rename, you can rename favorites in the Keurig® app. Favorites can also be ordered again using the Keurig® app. Drag the favorites into the desired order by tapping settings, favorites, and then the icon within the program. Either the brewer or the Keurig app can be used to remove a favorite. Select the favorite you want to remove from the brewer, then press and hold the heart button while confirming the deletion.
Press the K to access hot water on the home screen when there is no K-Cup pod in the brewer. To brew hot water, select the size and push the flashing K.
Press any button or raise the brew handle to turn your brewer on or off automatically. After five minutes, your coffee maker will shut off automatically. To turn the brewer off, you can alternatively press and hold the K button.
Maintaining Your Brewer
Your brewer will operate more efficiently if you clean it frequently. Before cleaning, always remember to switch off and unplug your brewer.
Exterior Brewer
Cleaning the outside of your Keurig® brewer sometimes can help it maintain its best appearance. Just use a paper towel and non-vinegar glass cleaner to clean the metal parts, and a damp, soapy, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to wipe the plastic. Never submerge the brewer in liquids, including water.
Pour Tray
The drip tray needs to be periodically cleaned and emptied because it can hold up to 8 ounces of excess. Slide it away from you while keeping it level to prevent spills. Use a moist, soapy, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth to rinse and clean.
Water Storage Tank
Periodically, the water reservoir should be cleaned by cleaning the interior and underside of the lid with a moist, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Avoid using a cloth to dry the interior of the water reservoir since lint may be left behind. Permit the reservoir to finish drying.
Troubleshooting
A bent paper clip or another similar tool can be used to clean up any grounds that may have amassed in the exit or entrance needles. Clear the K-Cup® Pod Holder’s exit needle. Consult the care instructions for the exit needle. Clear the needles at the brewer’s entrance. See the instructions for caring for the entrance needle. If you want to get the most out of your hot water brews and keep the number of grounds in your cup to a minimum, clean the exit and entrance needles as directed and do two cleansing brews before switching from coffee to tea or chocolate.
Brewer Refuses to Brew
Add water to the water reservoir if you notice the add water alert. 6 ounces of water is the minimum amount needed to brew. Once the reservoir has reached the required minimum fill level, add an additional 2 ounces of water and hit the BREW button. Continue until the brewer starts dispensing. Verify that the water reservoir is securely fastened to its base. Contact customer service if the add water alert continues even after refilling.
Brewer loses power or stops working
Connect the brewer’s grounded outlet. Your brewer might not work properly if the electrical circuit is overburdened with other appliances. The brewer needs to be run on a separate circuit from other appliances. The brewer automatically shuts off five minutes after the final brew in order to save electricity. Contact customer service if the brewer is still without electricity.
